My Celebrant Process (from “hello” to “I do”)
Planning your wedding is exciting, but let’s be honest — it can feel overwhelming at times. It’s my job to make you feel relaxed and stress free. I like to keep things organised, personable and help you by doing the hard bits (like filling out your Notice of Intended Marriage), so you can focus on each other and enjoy the most amazing ceremony (and wedding!)
Here’s exactly what working with me looks like from start to finish:
Step 1: Get in Touch
First things first — send me an enquiry! I’ll check if your date is available and answer any initial questions you have. If I’m free, we’ll move to the next step. During this enquiry, please tell me as much as you can about your dream ceremony / wedding, I’d love to hear. I can’t wait to hear from you!
Step 2: Let’s Chat
This is where we meet (in person over coffee or a drink, or virtually if that’s easier) and see if we’re the right fit.
We’ll talk about your vision for the day and what matters most to you.
If you decide to book me during this chat, we then fill out the Notice of Intended Marriage together (the first legal step).
Next, which is one of favourite parts is, I’ll ask a bunch of questions to get to know you both — your story, your vibe and the little details that make you “you.” It’s this meeting and your answers that shape your unique ceremony and help me to write a bespoke script, just for you. It can bring out the tears, the laughs and oh so many beautiful memories. I can also send you a questionnaire for you to fill out privately, but there’s something about hearing your love story in person that makes it all that bit more special.
Together, we’ll start shaping your dream ceremony experience and cover all the logistics. From where to stand, who will have the rings and who your witnesses will be, how many songs to have in the ceremony. Along with so much more!
Step 3: I Craft Your Ceremony
Once you’re booked, I work my magic! I write your script and design a ceremony that feels like you. It will reflect your personalities, your love story, and your unique energy as a couple.
Step 4: All Things Legal
I’ll prepare and check all your legal documents, so everything is in order and ready for the big day. You don’t need to stress about any of the paperwork — I’ve got it covered. All you need is yourselves and two witnesses (over 18).
Step 5: Your Big Moment
On your wedding day, I’ll arrive early with all my equipment (PA system, mic, your vows etc.) to make sure everything runs smoothly. Then, I deliver your ceremony with warmth, professionalism and just the right amount of fun!
Step 6: After the “I Dos”
Once the confetti settles:
I lodge your paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages, so your marriage is 100% legal.
If you’re happy for me to share, I’ll post a little love on Instagram (I can’t help but celebrate how amazing the moment was!).
When you receive your wedding gallery, I’d love to see your photos — and if you feel up to it, leaving me a review would mean the world.
You’ll receive your official certificate of marriage in the mail within 14 x days of the ceremony. No extra charge! You use this document to change your name.
